The DBHL was originally found by Vasim Kapadia, this years president, and Huzaifah Shaikh, this years secratary. Ahmed
Bana, the founder of DBHL took over and made the league better. The first season had many records set such as Rizwan
Desai's penalty for roughing was the first penalty in the league. His brother Fayzal received a penalty 28 seconds later
for elbowing. The league champions (team that finishes with most points at the end of the season) was Toronto finishing with
eight wins, four ties, and 20 points. There head coach, Yusuf Kazi, was nominated for coach of the year. Also there
captain, Ridhwaan Chopan led all players with 50 points. The second place Colorado Avalanche played more then half there
season without captain Maaz Malek who went on vacation to Bahamas. There coach Nawaz Shaikh assigned Mohammed "Jark"
Manjra as captain and he finished third with points. The third place Detroit Red Wings were lead by captain Ismail Desai,
the best defenseman in the league and only started winning when there coach Anzi Mcanzi started crying. But in the end the
Philadelphia Flyers took all the marbles by winning the D-CUP. Lead by their two assistants Vasim and Ishak and there captain
Zakariya "Motu" Kasuji, the second best defenseman in the league. With the series tied 1-1 with Colorado, Vasim and Ishak
racked up 6 and 7 points each in game 3 with a 2 point penalty kill, to lead their team to the first ever championship
in DBHL history. The most memorable goal was scored in the quarter-finals match up between the Detroit Red Wings and the Colorado
Avalanche. Asheyk Panori, the Red Wings goalie was mysteriously missing that day, and as he claims he was at Niagara Falls.
Like come on, you can come up with a better excuse then that. It was 2-2, game number 3, overtime, with the face off on
the right of back up goali Billal Bana the Avs won the face off and got the ball to Chapooti who was alone in front of the
net and who finished the game with a slow motion goal through the five hole.
